Here’s the truth: Nothing says spring and summer like baseball!
Halloooooooo! Mulligan “Mugs” O’Brew here. Baseball is under way here in the north woods. Great game, baseball. Individual battles within the bigger battle. Lots of strategy. The teams always have a chance to come back and win until the end. No time clocks. Filled with little nuances and infinite possibilities. And maybe the best thing is that in any given game, the best team overall, doesn’t always win.
The near-by Major League team has started out pretty well. Here in Upnorth, U.S.A., we have an amateur team (adults…or so they claim) that is not always the best. Okay, usually just bad. But, I still enjoy going to the local ball field and watching them, especially since The Pub is one of the sponsers. I just wish they would take the games a little more seriously.
